geboren wurde ich im September des Jahres 1964 in Gelsenkirchen/ Nordrhein-Westfalen, als zweiter Sohn in eine Bergmannsfamilie und lebe auch heute noch mit meiner Familie und meinen beiden Katzen im längst wieder ergrünten Ruhrgebiet. Ich absolvierte die Hauptschule und erlernte mehrere Handwerksberufe.
I was born in September 1964 in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, as the second son in a miner's family, and I still live with my family and my two cats in the Ruhr area, which has long since become green again. I completed secondary school and learned several trades.
Erst mit fünfunddreißig Jahren, als ich bedingt durch eine Rückenerkrankung nicht mehr im Handwerk arbeiten konnte, entdeckte ich die Liebe zur Schriftstellerei und als unabhängiger Autor veröffentliche ich seitdem meine historischen Geschichten und Romane, die meist von den Wikingern erzählen.
It was only at the age of thirty-five, when I was no longer able to work in the trades due to a back injury, that I discovered my love of writing. Since then, I have been publishing my historical stories and novels as an independent author, most of which are about the Vikings.

Hatari mit John Wayne. Die Wikinger (mit Kirk Douglas und Tony Curtis, ich finde Ernest Borgnine als Ragnar echt Klasse). Eigentlich alle Filme von Danny Kaye. Western wie Open Ramge, Der mit dem Wolf tanzt. Ausgerechnet Alaska (Serie über einen jüdischen New Yorker Arzt, der in Alaska sein Stipendium ab arbeiten muss), Rock'n Roll Daddy (Australische Serie über einen ehemaligen Rockstar und Althippie in den 90ern). Bezaubernde Jeannie (Barbara Eden und Larry Hagman, unschlagbar). The Big Bang Theorie

Olaf Tryggvisson - König der Wikinger (hat mich zum Schreiben inspiriert), Widukinds Wölfe, Historische Romane im Allgemeinen natürlich und ich bin immer noch ein Fan der "Burg Schreckenstein" Jugendbuchreihe (ist wohl so'ne Art Kindheitsmacke)
Olaf Tryggvisson - King of the Vikings (inspired me to write), Widukind's Wolves, historical novels in general, of course, and I'm still a fan of the “Burg Schreckenstein” young adult book series (probably a childhood quirk).
Was ich mag What I like
Gute, wahre Freunde. Meinen alten e39 BMW Touring ( 25 Jahre alt, der nun nach und nach wieder auf Vordermann gebracht wird ). Die Wikinger natürlich! Meine Heimat das Ruhrgebiet (weil die Menschen hier einfach gut drauf sind, ehrlich und gerade heraus ). Fußball, natürlich ist mein Verein Schalke 04, bin ja behürtiger Gelsenkirchener!
Rindsrouladen mit Knödel und Rotkohl. Süßen Wein, rot und weiß.

Lügner. Extremisten aller Art. Horrorfilme sind nicht mein Ding. Pädophile (gehören viel strenger bestraft), Tierquäler sind das Letzte.
Liars, Extremists of all kinds.Horror movies are not my thing, Pedophiles (should be punished much more severely), Animal abusers are the worst.
